Laura D’Alessandro,

LCSW

Laura is a licensed clinical social worker with over 8 years experience providing mental health services in NJ. Her therapeutic approach utilizes her experience and training in mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and compassion based therapy.

Laura gained her experience working in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care providing individual and group therapy. She has worked with individuals suffering with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic-stress disorder, co-occuring disorders, addictive behaviors, self-injurious behaviors, difficult family dynamics, relational stressors, grief & loss, and more.

Laura facilitates a therapeutic plan that can be guided towards a particular goal, or can be a safe place to process and gain insight. She believes in creating an atmosphere that is safe, judgment-free, and focused on a client’s needs. Laura sees value in the presence of connection, validation, and humor within a therapeutic relationship.
